About
Patterrific offers free seamless repeat patterns in both vector and pixel format. Furthermore Patterrific looks for pattern design resources in both the print and digital form and collects them on this website.
Who’s behind Patterrific?
My name is Sabine. I am a graphic designer from Germany and the creative mind behind Patterrific. I have got a degree in graphic design and have been working in the quirky world of advertising for some years. My passion for design includes graphic design, illustration, photography as well as print and web design, especially Flash and CMS Typo3.
I started this website to share my thoughts and passion on pattern design in all it’s forms. I also like to offer some design resources to other designers (and non-designers) who are interested in them. I hope we can share lots of information, tips, and ideas through Patterrific. Also you can follow me on Twitter.
As a graphic designer it has been difficult for me to focus on huge CMS Typo3 during the past years because the main part of this work was programming. So I decided to give Wordpress a try where webdesign and programming were not the most important things to me but rather designing content like patterns. I really hope you enjoy the content!
Illustration
I love to illustrate animals. Here you can see 2 examples. See more on dresscodes, a German site about Mimikry, Mimesis and Camouflage among animals I made with Flash only. If you speak English the best to do is to choose “Illustration” at the bottom.

Photography
In 2005, I was very lucky. I was asked to travel around the world to take photographs of outstanding buildings. Here you see examples of The Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago. You can see more on The Exceeders, a site I made with Typo3 and some Flash.

Print and Pattern
In 2008, I founded the label “My Netty” which offers gift wrap and cards. The website is build in Typo3 again. I’ve been working with Drupal also but think that Typo3 is the most powerful CMS I know.

Photoshop and Illustrator and and and
During my time in the agency I had to work with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and so on, and made tons of graphics whenever there was time. I think you learn the most by just doing.
